What is Connect?

Connect is an initiative developed by The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, Inc., Mohawk Valley EDGE, and the Workforce Investment Board Herkimer, Madison and Oneida Counties.

Connect aims to:
- build a pipeline of qualified local talent to hire from
- provide high school and college students with “real-world” experience
- sponsor career exploration among young professionals
- foster relationships between local employers and academic institutions

Connect is a database where employers can post internships and apprenticeships for students. We facilitate experiential learning opportunities in manufacturing, the trades and professional environments. Businesses have the opportunity to strengthen relationships with area high schools and colleges, and tap into a network of talented, local individuals.
